A hospital bill for an inpatient stay is usually a summary bill with a detailed breakup attached. Insurers and TPAs read it line by line, so group charges under clear heads: room, nursing, doctor fees, investigations, procedures, pharmacy and consumables.
Clinics and physiotherapy centres need a simpler bill: patient name, date, consultation or session count, fee and total. Many healthcare services are exempt from GST; check your own position with an accountant.
