- Do not leave Incoterms without the named port.
Frequently asked questions
Is a commercial invoice the same as an export invoice?
In practice yes. Exporters call the final bill for goods a commercial invoice; customs and banks rely on it.
Which currency should an export invoice use?
The currency agreed with the buyer, usually USD, EUR or GBP. Many exporters also show the rupee equivalent for their own records.
Do I need GSTIN on an export invoice?
If you are GST registered, yes, along with the export endorsement about IGST or LUT.
Can I use the generator for export invoices?
Yes. Choose Commercial or export invoice as the document type, pick the currency, and add port, destination and Incoterms in the customer section.
